Miramare is consisted of eight stylish studios, which are located only a few steps away from the beach, in a very quiet place on the edge of a settlement. The settlement is the picturesque haven of Makris Gialos. In this village, you can find numerous taverns and restaurants, as well as shops, doctors, pharmacy and car rental offices.

They can be reached by a walking path in a few minutes. The guests at Miramare appreciate not only the excellent location but the special amenities as well. Miramare was built in 1988 but was fully renovated in 2014. The two owners, Georgia and Antonis Triades fulfilled their dream by building Miramare: Mediterranean atmosphere for guests who want to have a relaxing holiday in a nice ambience by the sea.

The rooms

Miramare is composed of eight rooms of 22-28 square meters each. The four of the them are located on the ground floor and all of them have a great view. All rooms are equipped with refrigerator and kitchenette, air conditioning, safe, satellite TV and free wifi. The rooms 1,2,3,4 and 8 can accommodate a third person. Baby cots are available to our guests.

Ground floor rooms have small balconies with a magnificent sea view. The beautiful pergola with vines create a nice atmosphere of coolness and shade. On terraces you can enjoy your meal or drink. The rooms on the second floor have wonderful balconies with a idyllic view of the Libyan Sea. Here you can enjoy your breakfast in the morning and a glass of wine admiring the sunset.

The beach

The beach of Makrigialos, located just a few steps away from Miramare Studios, is a beach with sand and pebbles. This beach with its crystal clear waters has gained a Blue Flag. For our guests we offer umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach. Along the beach there are numerous restaurants where you can taste delicious meals.

Not far from Miramare, you have the opportunity to do water sports. The beach Kalamokanias is located about fifteen minutes walk. This beach with its crystal clear waters is pebbly. Nearby there are many other beaches within ten minutes by car or motorbike.

The accommodation and the facilities

It is a family run business, managed by Mr. Antonis and Mrs. Georgia Triadis, who created unique grounds with great artistry and taste, just a breath away from the sea, so that Miramare Studios to be the ideal choice for your stay.

In order to get here, you can take your car or the local means of transportation. Miramare Studios offers 8 furnished apartments, 4 of them with a double bed and the rest with 2 single beds. From the 8 apartments, 5 can accommodate 3 persons.

All the studios stand out for the spacious grounds, their comfort and their good taste. They are equipped with private bathroom with shower , fan, air-conditioner (optional), safe, TV (SATELITE & TERRESTRIAL), iron, hair dryer, fully equipped kitchen (fridge, boiler, coffeemaker, toastier, e.t.c.). There is also free wi-fi internet access.

For our little guests up to 3 years old we can provide a bassinet free of charge.

All the rooms have a view to the Libyan Sea, whereas the ground floor is elevated enough so that it doesn't lack the unique view Miramare enjoys.

Very close to Miramare Studios you will find taverns, where you can have your breakfast, taste traditional Cretan dishes and drinks, as well as shops to do your necessary shopping.

Enjoy your swim at the lovely beach that stretches just a few meters from the complex and whose crystal clear waters were awarded the blue flag of the European Union.

You may find umbrellas and sunbeds in the beach, very close to the studios.

Access By plane:

Heraklion Airport - Makrigialos: About 1 hour and 45 minutes by car or taxi (about 110 €). There is also the possibility of a bus. Sitia Airport - Makrigialos: Approximately 30 minutes by car or taxi.

How to reach us: Upon arrival at Heraklion airport you follow the route to Agios Nikolaos. Once you reach it follow the signs to Ierapetra. When you reach the town of Ierapetra you will come across a junction with traffic lights. At this junction you have to turn left following the signs to Sitia. Continue driving for 25 km, the coast road and you wiil reach Makrigialos where Miramare studios are situated.

If we are asked, we can willingly arrange a rental car or a taxi at the airport or we can give you information on bus schedules.
